Southall · West London
Southall Submission Grappling is a welcoming Jiu-Jitsu and submission grappling academy in Southall for anyone aged 13 and over — from complete beginners to experienced practitioners.
Our approach
Southall Submission Grappling was created around a simple idea: you should be able to train seriously while still feeling welcome on the mat.
Whether you’ve never stepped onto a Jiu-Jitsu mat before, you’re returning after years away, or you’re already an experienced grappler, our aim is to give you a place where you can learn, train hard and develop at your own pace.
Our classes are built around technical instruction, practical application and live training, with an emphasis on respect, safety and helping each other improve.
You don’t need to be fit before you start.
You don’t need previous martial arts experience.
You just need to turn up.

Instructor
The academy is led by Indy Panesar — a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and one of the premier Asian coaches in the sport, whose lineage reflects years of serious study and practice.
Lineage
Eoghan O’Flanagan
Silviu Nastasa
Steve Morrison — Judo Black Belt
Early in his career, Indy’s gi game was shaped under Ze Marcello — one of Europe’s most respected black belts — before his continued development through Los Banditos.
Training and development continues through regular practice at Los Banditos — keeping instruction connected to an active, evolving grappling practice.
Above all, Indy’s mission is simple: to give back to Southall and raise his local community through martial arts — building confidence, discipline and strength in the people around him, one student at a time.
Coaching lineage
The coaches behind our lineage are active, high-level grapplers — so everything you’re taught is tested at the very top of the sport.
BJJ Black Belt · Los Banditos
Grappling press describes Eoghan as one of the best grapplers in the world in his weight class — a reputation built on a submission-first game and a feared leg-lock system.
BJJ & Judo Black Belt · Los Banditos
A wrestler from childhood, Silviu went on to earn black belts in both Jiu-Jitsu and Judo — bringing a rare three-discipline game to every session he teaches.
